Sadly, this excerpt of God’s curses upon unbelieving, rebellious, disobedient Israel looks quite like America today. What we see in today’s America represents the full blossoming or maturation of mankind against God almighty, since Genesis.

The World System:

Today, Satan still dominates the world’s political, religious, social, economic, and educational systems, Bible Publishing of ‘modern Bibles,’ and Christian Seminaries and Bible schools. Hence, the Bible refers to these as part of “this present evil world [Gk. aion, age]” (Gal. 1:4). Thus, Satan is called “the god (or ruler) of this world [Gk. aion, age]” (2 Cor. 4:4). The Bible says in 1 Jn. 5:19, “… the whole world [Gk. cosmos, arrangement of rulership]) lieth in wickedness.” Then Ephesians 2:2 speaks of the evil “course of this world [Gk. cosmos, the current arrangement of rulership on earth].”

Due to the deception and fall of Adam and Eve, every person born since then bears the Sin virus in their flesh body (Rom. 8:3). All humans are born ‘self-loving,’ falsely assuming they are ‘the god of their own life,’ thus they proceed to live their life independent of any consideration of God.

We should note that formerly, in the Garden of Eden before the fall of Adam, God was Adam’s protector, guide, joy, and provider; Adam “walked with God in the cool of the day.” All Adam was to do was “dress and keep the garden” (Gen. 2:15) in a believing cooperation with God.

But then, being fallen to Sin and independent from God, Adam was outside of God’s provision. So Satan, through man, evolved a fallen, Satanic ‘cosmos’ or ‘world system’ that has matured to what we see on earth today. The seeds of today’s godless pagan [anti-God] world system and culture were devised by Satan for man soon after Adam’s fall. These seeds of today’s world system are seen below by the work of the three sons of Lamech; “Jabal, Jubal, and Tubalcain.”

 “And Lamech took unto him two wives… ²⁰ And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle (for commerce). ²¹ And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ (for entertainment). ²² And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron (for weapons) …” (Genesis 4:19-22)

Above we see how Satan devised a world system that is independent of reliance upon God. Here in Genesis 4, after we read of the births of Cain and Abel, we come only two generations later and learn how man had developed a system of commerce to provide food commercially produced. The phrase “such as have cattle” is more than a family having one cow for milk, it was herds for trade, commerce. Mankind then also had music for entertainment, and metal weapons for self-defense and for offence - wars. Most of us were raised with the mantra to be strong bold and independent… God desires is that we depend upon Him to lead and guide us in how to live.

Today’s terrible circumstances and situations we witness all around us are the automatic result unbelief and rebellion against God and His Son, Jesus Christ, the freely offered Savior of the world.

Below I highlight some verses from Deuteronomy 28:16-68 KJV. You can read the whole portion where you may recognize more similarities to what you see today in the USA.

¹⁶ Cursed shalt thou be in the city [i.e., the dystopian cities of the USA], and cursed shalt thou be in the field [crops]. ¹⁷ Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

¹⁸ Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body [plagued with abortion, disease], and [cursing] the fruit of thy land [GMO foods], the increase of thy kine [cattle], and the flocks of thy sheep [now laced with chemicals].

²⁰ The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

²¹ The Lord shall make the pestilence [virus] cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

²² The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption [TB, lung infections], and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword [wars], and with blasting, and with mildew [fungal infection]; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

²³ And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass [drought], and the earth that is under thee shall be iron [parched earth].

²⁴ The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

²⁵ The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies [911, terrorism in our city streets, subways, neighborhoods, foreign adversaries]: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them [every post WW2 war]: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

²⁷ The Lord will smite thee with the botch [disaster] of Egypt [in the plagues], and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

²⁸ The Lord shall smite thee with madness [mental instability], and blindness [blinded by the god of this world], and astonishment of heart:

²⁹ And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness [of your godless mind], and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways [humanistic socialism is not the answer]: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

³⁰ Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein [lost in divorce]: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof [evidence of Godless/fruitless lives].

⁴¹ Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity [of Satan’s evil mindset].

It is not too late to turn our hearts to God and receive His freely offered Son, Jesus, as “the Savior of the word.” Jesus’s life was given on the Cross as “the Lamb of God.” His life was given to deal with everything that is wrong with us… so that we can come to union with God our Savor and Father… to receive and enjoy His eternal resurrection life in us right now, and then forever in “the heaven above all heavens.”

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, [so] that whosoever believeth [trusts] in him [Jesus] should not perish, but have [His] everlasting life. John 3:16
