Part 2 – The “New Creature” is What Counts

This Article is part of a multi-part Study Series called The Ministry of ‘Jesus of Nazareth’.

During today’s age of “the Dispensation of the Grace of God,” during what Paul calls the “but now,” there is no more distinction between the Jew (racially) and Gentile, for “all are one In Christ (Gal. 3:28). Almighty God only sees the saved and the lost, those “in Christ” and those “in Adam,” respectively.

in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but FAITH which worketh by love.” (Galatians 5:6)

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a NEW CREATURE.” (Galatians 6:15)

There are many so-called Messianic Christians today who think that they should adopt the things of Judaism, that somehow God will then bless them even more; they can remove their prayer shawls. For, there is no longer any advantage to physical circumcision and the practices as being an Israelite Also, there is no more a disadvantage to physical uncircumcision before God as a Gentile.

What The Lord sees today is the totally “new creature” (Gal. 6:15), the “one new man” (Eph. 2:15), called “the Church,” “the Body of Christ.” Both Jewish and Gentile believers are securely set into Christ, into His “One body” (Eph. 1:13, 1Cor 12:13). God only sees unbelievers as being outside of Christ’s “one Body.” Being “in Christ” or not being “in Christ” is the only distinction God acknowledges today.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.(2 Cor. 5:17)

Today all human racial distinctions are not important to God. The old identity has passed away, all believers have gained a new spiritual identity “in Christ.” Knowing any man “after the flesh” relates to a “time past” distinction that is done away “in Christ.”

Jesus’ earthly ministry as seen in Matthew through John, operated on the basis of the division between Jew and Gentile separately. Note in Matt. 15:26 how Jesus refers to the Gentiles (Canaanite woman) as “dogs.”

Paul wrote, “(the Jews) of whom as concerning the flesh (racially) Christ came” Rom. 9:4-5) The “flesh” here is physically circumcised flesh, Jewish flesh. Christ’s earthly ministry was to the nation Israel only, and not to the nations (Gk. ethnos, the Gentiles). This is proved from Scripture.

“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24)

“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers (of Israel): (Romans 15:8)

The expression, Jesus Christ was a minister (Gk. diakonos) of the circumcision,” (above) is key. That earthly ministry had ended. Note that Paul says Jesus’ ministry to Israel “was,” meaning in the past, as seen in the King James Bible. This is radically changed in ‘modern bible versions’ (NIV, NASB, NKJV, AMP, ESV, etc.) to say Jesus “Christ has become a servant of the Jews” (NIV), yet another Bible distortion and corruption from the apostate modernist.

At the time of Jesus of Nazareth’s earthly ministry to Israel, He said in Jn. 4:22: “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of ‘the Jews.’” Notice the emphasis on “the Jews;” no Gentiles were in view here.
