Part 2 – Is anything More Important than Salvation

This Article is part of a multi-part Study Series called The Basics of Right Division of the Word of Truth.

There is no more important thing a lost soul can do than come to a knowledge of the saving grace of God accomplished … on the cross through Christ’s self-sacrifice. The understanding of the revelation of the “mystery (secret) of righteousness” is the message through which souls are saved. Thus, ignorance of ‘dispensational right division’ that brings to light the work of the Cross comes at the risk of “eternal destruction” (1 Thes 1:9).

Nowhere else in scripture do we find the gospel for today, “the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24), other than in the revelation of God to our dispensational pattern, which is Paul.

“And I (Paul) thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (Gk. protos, the prototype). 16 Howbeit for this cause I (Paul) obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, For A Pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.” (1 Timothy 1:12-16 (KJV)

Through Paul, Jesus first revealed the meaning and the purpose of His shed blood for all men. Paul explains how salvation is available to “all men,” coming to them Not of Works,” but “By Grace Through Faith (alone),” justifying believers by the ‘death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.’

“… being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (Romans 5:1)

“(Jesus) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (sin-payment) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Romans 3:25)

The glory of this truth had been kept secret since the world began” is muddled by erroneously combining it with what God has purposely divided. When teachers of scripture do not rightly divide between what is prophetic dispensational age of “the Law” and that of “the revelation of the mystery (secret plan of God)” they are at risk of blurring or losing the efficacy of the grace gospel that is based upon the Cross as “the power of God unto salvation.”

Though many people have been saved by well-meaning people who are ignorant of Paul’s unique apostleship, it is not because they trusted in another gospel. They are saved despite their exposure to improper biblical workmanship.

Unfortunately, many others are deluded by ministers who are also blind to the truth, preaching Jesus, but not according to “the revelation of the mystery (Gk. musterion, secret)” (Rom 16:25). They instead preach another Jesus according to His earthly ministry to Israel, ministering to “the circumcision” (Rom. 15:8).

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh (in His human ministry to Israel on earth, cf. Matt. 15:24), yet now henceforth know we him no more.” (2Cor. 5:16 (KJV)

As a result, they choose to trust in their rituals such as John’s water baptism for Israel’s remnant, or their good works, or their attempted obedience to the words of Jesus during his earthly ministry when he was a “minister of the circumcision (Israel)”:

“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision (Israel) for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers (of Israel):” (Romans 15:8)
