Part 4 – “the Judgment Seat of Christ.”

This Article is part of a multi-part Study Series called Who is The Bride of Christ?.

I am inserting this segment because many Christians confuse “the Marriage Supper of the Lamb” with “the Judgment Seat of Christ.”

Most Christians wrongly assume the church is “the Bride of Christ,” while some see Israel as “the bride,” but then wrongly assume that some of us will attend “the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”

This confused theology is all due to church tradition, making for bad Bible doctrine. One assumption is based on another assumption and both suppositions are wrong, only leading to faulty conclusions.

The “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” occurs not at the Rapture of “the church, which is His body,” but at Jesus Christ’s 2nd Coming, which is to be at least seven years after the Rapture of “His body.”

If you hold to the traditional confused theology, that we of “the body of Christ” are somehow involved with “Marriage Supper of the Lamb,” then I would ask; “Why would we of the body of Christ wait about seven years after we’ve been raptured to heaven from planet earth … in order to supposedly be ‘married to Christ’? This makes no sense!

There is in fact “the Judgment Seat of Christ” that will follow the Rapture of “His body” having to do with the church, “the body of Christ.” Paul’s epistles refer to this event here below in 2 Cor. 5:10, but again, this has nothing to do with “the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive (or not receive ‘rewards’ for) the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Cor. 5:10).

(For the many details concerning “the Judgment Seat of Christ” pertaining to the Raptured members of “the body of Christ,” I recommend that you read the author’s article at http://artlicursi.com/articles/what-exactly-fire-judgment-seat-christ.)

We should always be careful in our Bible Study to never conflate Israel’s verses with those pertaining to “the body of Christ.” We of “His body” have nothing to do with “the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints [of believing Israel]. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called [that is Israel’s believers] unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.” (Rev. 19:6-9)

We will continue with this thought of the Lamb's wife in the next installment.

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me (John), saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.” (Rev. 21:9)
