In this series we address the spiritual relationship of believers and the Lord as if He were their husband.

 In the context of Romans 7:1-6, the individual members of “the body of Christ,” whether male or female, are metaphorically seen “as if” we were Christ’s female spouse. I emphasize the words “as if” Christ’s spouse because “the church, which is His body” is not Christ’s bride that is described in Revelation 21:22. Christ’s Bride in fact is a the believers of Israel.
