Judgements and Blessings Delayed

In this five-part study we will look at four accounts of God’s ‘delayed’ judgments, as seen in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, as well as the delay in His ultimate eternal blessings for “the body of Christ” and as well the ultimate eternal blessings for the saved and faithful of Israel.

God is wise and purposeful, never compromising His character nor His eternal plan of all ages.

Parts 2-5 cover delay #4, where we will look into the lies by which false teachers had troubled the grace age believers of Thessalonian and others, such as seen here.

“And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18Who concerning the truth have erred, Saying That the Resurrection (Rapture) Is Past Already; and Overthrow the Faith of Some.” (2Tim. 2:18)

Thus, Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians to remind them of the timeline of future events (“things to come”) in order correct their understanding… so as to calm and comfort them with the truth. Paul had to differentiate the “day of Christ” at the Rapture from “the day of the Lord” (the 2nd coming and Millennial Kingdom on earth). The lies of false teachers had troubled the Thessalonians, so Paul wrote to remind them of the timeline of things to come’ in order correct their understanding… to calm and comfort them with the truth.
