 “THROUGH THE BIBLE IN 14 SESSIONS” (As adpated from Richard Jordan)

In this series we explore vital and helpful Bible information which will enable you to;

  • Get a Strategic View and Grasp of the Entire Bible.
  • Gain a clarity and insight into the Bible that many have longed for. Any apparent contradictions will disappear.
  • You will never again be confused as to how certain Bible verses “fit.”
  • You will marvel at the perfection of the Word of God.
  • You will see God’s word “come alive” and thrill to see how believers, as the members of “the body of Christ,” are integrated into God’s eternal plan of the ages, for eternity.
  • As Paul admonished believers; we will be equipped to “give and answer” for our faith.

This study series is derived from a 14-part TV video series titled “Through the Bible in 7 Hours,” by Richard Jordan, the President of Grace School of the Bible. I’ve drawn from Richard Jordan’s video and a good deal of his corresponding study notes. I’ve supplemented those notes with the full Bible text for the many Bible references called upon. I’ve also added more proof-text with my own comments.

It is important to learn and understand certain Biblical contextual keys for understanding the Bible. These Biblical keys will teach us “how to approach the Bible” and are necessary if we are to see God’s plan and intent in accord with the the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Eph 3:11).

Paul tells us how to study the Bible by this verse 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV). “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Since the Bible is “the word of truth,” in this study series we will compare distinctive Scriptures with Scriptures and Biblical truths with Biblical truths in order to let the Bible explain itself.

The Bible is not to be approached randomly if we are to see God’s clear eternal scope and purpose of the ages. There are three people groups in the Bible the Jews... the Gentiles... the church of God 1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV). As with any book, the Bible requires that we properly apply the information and statements that the Bible offers to the specific people for whom those statements and information apply. This is accomplished by recognizing the divisions and distinctions God makes among people in the Bible. In this way, we may properly divide the word of truth.”

Every person can understand the Bible without a college or theological degree. It only takes the desire to learn and the effort to study, while applying common sense. I trust you will make the effort to study this worthwhile series. It does not take forever to get the lay of the land – the big picture of God’s eternal intention as seen in the whole Bible.

We will cover a lot of ground in the (14) fourteen studies that follow this introduction. I realize that “…much study is a weariness of the flesh(Ecclesiastes 12:12b (KJV). But, we must invest ourselves in knowing His Word if we are to enjoy the precious riches of our eternal salvation that is “in Christ.” This definitely is a STUDY series and not for casual perusal. The riches to be derived from this study will give the student an understanding of the entire scope of the Bible – where everything fits. This study will affect the student in their understanding and impact their daily living, while yielding peace and rest at having seen God’s eternal purposefulness and sovereignty in accomplishing His “eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Eph 3:11), and by which in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him (Ephesians 1:10 (KJV).

(All Scripture references are taken from the Kings James Authorized Version unless otherwise specified. Many include parenthesis, italic, capitalization, or underline for emphasis.)
