sanctification

Sanctified by Grace and Faith

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (1 Corinthians 1:30)

Both redemption and sanctification (Holiness) flow to us from the cross in the person of the indwelling “Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.”

But distinctively, Grace and faith are the great characteristic features of the present age of “the dispensation of the grace of God.”

Sanctification of the Spirit

I've taken the title "Sanctification of the Spirit" from Paul's words in 2Thes 2:13. "…God hath from the beginning chosen you to (unto) salvation through Sanctification of The Spirit …"

For many the Bible doctrine of sanctification is thought to be a negative matter; "Don't do this" and "Don't do that." Paul here speaks against this form of false sanctification as fostered by the "doctrines of men," while not being of God.
